Wild Animal Park - San Diego





lion exhibit.







they sleep 20 hours a day.










in a certain part of africa, lions are running out of game to hunt because of human encroachment. so, they've gone after little children in a nearby village. children are easy targets aren't able to fight back.

elephants are known to have a keen memory.

sumatran tigers. from the island of sumatra.






elephants have been hunted by lions as a last resort. it takes a lot of lions to take down an elephant.








sumatran tigers usually live near water sources. they are avid swimmers.









sleep 18 to 20 hours a day because they spend so much energy hunting.









it's a tough life.











lions live up to about 16 years in the wild.








cheetah run. they have it once a day.


they run up to 70 mph. 

cheetahs are skittish creatures. the handlers had to bring out a dog first to make this cheetah feel comfortable.
